The second quarter has ended our students have worked so hard and should be please with the growth that they are making! We have all noticed them becoming more independent and confident in themselves and their work.
Report cards will be coming home on February 6th. As you look through them with you child focus on their improvements. Praise them for their hard work and effort and then discuss areas that they feel they could improve. Have them choose one thing that they would like to work on during third quarter and encourage them to create an attainable goal. Then, aid them in developing a plan to achieve it.
While February is the shortest month of the year, it appears to be one of the busiest! We have a field trip on February 20th to the Maryland Science Center and Davis Planetarium. This is going to be a great trip! Please consider volunteering - each class can take six parents with them. Teachers will be selecting volunteers on February 15th through a lottery system. You will be notified if you are selected, at that time you may submit your payment.
